Local Lucky Strike bowler Kyle Shaw of Lebanon has another impressive year. In the 2015-2016 season Shaw finished ranked 4th in the nation, one place higher than his 5th rank from the year before, Keep up the good work.
Shaw finished ranked Second in the State of CT. Other Lucky Strike bowlers joining him in the top 20 rankings for CT are Dave Dupuis (5th,Spencer,Mass), Gary Santora (8th, Auburn,Mass), and Tom Clauson (19th, Windham,CT)

Will Rigney from Warwick, Rhode Island is the 2016 Champion of the Frank Barber Memorial Eastern Duckpin Classic. Will had 6-game totals of 942 and 891 totaling the two-weekend event's winning score of 1833. Making for an exciting finish, half way through the last game both Rigney and Leo Montiero, a fellow Rhode Island Bowler, surpassed the current leading score held by local bowler Kyle Shaw. Both Will and Leo finished strong but a tough split in one of the last frames from Leo sealed the victory for Will. The tournament concluded with 133 Entries with bowlers traveling from as far south as North Carolina and Virginia, and New Hampshire represented the North.

Colin Dunnack Wins Men's Pro Tour and $5,000 In Hagerstown., MD

Colin Dunnack of Mansfield won the $5,000 1st place prize in the men's pro tour stop held at Turner’s Southside Bowl in Hagerstown, MD on May 23-24. Colin defeated Jimmy Mulvihill of MA, 178-134, in the title match.
Colin was 1 5th after the 8-game qualifier on Saturday with 1,141. High qualifier was Jeff Young from Ontario, Canada with 1,243.
Colin went 4-1 in his divisional match play on Sunday to advance to the "Star Round" Single-elimination match play. Colin had to win three previous matches to reach the championship game, defeating Scott Wolgamuth (MD), 154-135; Randy Farlow (MD), 154-131; and John Deantoniis (MD), 147-124.
There were two 200 games bowled in the tournament — One was by Lucky Strike bowler Gary Santora with an outstanding, 236, and Leo Monteiro (RI) with a 202. A field of 1 10 bowlers competed in the event.
